New: update from your browser with the PadBox Configurator

The PadBox Configurator installs the latest firmware on your PadBox GS in one click, no files to copy. It also lets you switch between HOJA2, GP2040-CE and PhobGCC, remap your buttons, calibrate your stick and set your LED colors.

  • Open the PadBox Configurator in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a computer.
  • Connect your PadBox and click Update firmware at the top right.
  • Bought your PadBox before the Configurator came out? Click UPDATE AN OLDER PADBOX on the connect screen instead.

Manual install (.uf2 files)

If you can't use Chrome or Edge, you can still install the firmware by hand. All PadBox GS firmware files are in .uf2 format: put the controller in bootloader mode and copy the file onto the RPI-RP2 drive. Make sure you pick the file that matches your edition — follow the guide for your controller for the full steps.
